That's sweet!
For some reason, probably the character indicative of years of service, that make a busted and reglued (or just plain busted) threadless somehow almost more appealing than a mint condition one! It's kind of like a 95 year old man appears all the cooler because of the wrinkles and scars on his skin. Compare him with a school kid my age, and it's obvious who is the more charactered being.

Well, it went pretty cheap, about $150 thanks to a bad photo making the damage look worse than it was. came from a barn sale in springfield illinois

Default Tilli 731

Hate to say this, but this is the narrow mold style that is suspected of being new production.

Default Suspect Tilli`

When the narrow dome tillis started to come out at shows, some had rusty tie wires on them. This is easily done by wrapping iron wire around the insulator and using muratic acid to rust the metal. A hammer and a nail set could have made the bb like impact.

I'm just going with what the majority of the hobby is saying about these pieces. I'd say 75% of the hobby thinks they are suspect.
